Todd Sullivan reaches out to Judith Skillman
to discuss How to Read Poetry
Hello, my name is Todd Sullivan, and I would like to introduce Judith Skillman, who wrote the poem, “Come This Way, He Said, And I Followed Him”, published in Breath & Shadow, Volume 17, Issue #4, in Fall 2020. I found Judith’s poem randomly online and read it from beginning to end in one sitting, which is the standard I’m using to decide if I’ll reach out to have a chat. So I sent a message to Judith to see if she would like to sit down to do a short interview with me focused upon this essay in-particular, and she graciously accepted. Beforehand, I asked that she read the poem in its entirety. After that, I will ask her a few questions on the piece, her writing, as well as a few fun questions.
